Walk into the Australian Age of Dinosaurs Museum of Natural History in Winton – by the time it is completed in 2015, it would be the largest museum of dinosaur fossils in the world. Recently there was news of discovery of three species of dinosaur fossils in Winton, Queensland (Australia). These are dated back to approximately 98 million years ago. One of these is the Australovenator wintonensis (nicknamed Banjo) – it eats meat and is the Australian equivalent of the velociraptor of the Jurassic Park movies. The other two nicknamed Matilda and Clancy are of the plant-eating variety – these four-legged sauropod species are presumed to be new types of titanosaurs which were the largest animals ever to walk the earth. The authorities expect the Dinosaur Museum to be an attraction for tourists and boost educational tourism.
