With president Bush gone and Obama in you might think that everything is changing in Washington. Well don't be so quick to draw your conclusions. The Obama administration is set to revive a Bush-era program to use National Security Agency assistance in screening government computer traffic on private-sector networks. This was a controversial subject under Bush and the fire has sparked again as Obama pushes for warrant-less wiretapping.

The department of home land security spokeswoman says that the although they are looking into allowing the government to have wire tapping it will not interfere with the privacy and civil liberties of the American citizens. In order to prove that our liberties will be protected many of the civil liberty groups are sitting in and watching every move the DHS and Obama does when it comes to wire tapping.

It is said that the government will be running a pilot with AT&T the worlds largest telecommunications company. So does it make you think that you never know who is listening. Does it make you think that although they say our liberties are being protected they are listening with out our consent. If that isn't a conflict of interest I don't know what is.
