Ten killed,12 missing as boats sink in river-Kabul

LANDIKOTAL : Ten people,including an Afghan policeman were died when two passengers' boats sink down in river-Kabul at Sarband district area of Ningrahar provine some forteen kilometers from Pak-Afghan border inside Afghanistan on Wednesday.

Sources said that two passengers' boat were coming from its opposit directions when one of them cut the control wire and turned over hiting the other. At least thirty passengers,including women and children who were coming back to their homes from other areas of Afghanistan,were on board in the boats who drowned in river Kabul.

Meanwhile, Afghan security forces and divers reached to the spot and recovered ten dead bodies,sources said.Eight people were also rescued alive so far while,twelve others are still missing till filling to this report.
