I was born and raised here in Calhoun, Georgia and relocated back here in 2007, and although I resided in Hollywood, California 25 years and grew tired of Los Angeles, I miss the entertainment industry. And here in my hometown they roll the sidewalks up at about 5:00 pm, With nothing to do at all and with this being the deep south and considered the bible belt, it is oviously a sin to go out and listen to a band and go out dancing with your wife, or if you're not married your girlfriend, or if you're single go out to dance and ask a lady to dance. In short there is no place to listen to a live band or go dancing in my home town.
Well I don' t believe you'll burn in hell just because you like to dance and listen to music, nor do I believe it is a sin to have a beer now and then. Didn't they drink wine in the bible, didn't Jesus turn the water to wine, my town is like the movie Foot Loose. So I've found the perfet place it seems that will accommondate all of my interest from film, media, fishing, worm farming, live bait vending, It all appears to be in Austin , Texas also considered the live music capital of the world, I bet they have more live music per capita than Nashville. Not only that there are a lot of family activities available there as well.
They even have a place where you can eat dinner while you watch a movie, now that is really dinner and a movie all at the same time. There is a bridge there in Austin where you can see thousands of bats fly out from under it everynight, that is pretty cool as well. They have excellent hiking paths, golf, water sports, great dining, kyaking, fishing, The list goes on and on, they welcome diversity and culture infact Austin is proud to be labeled weird, I don't consider myself weird but would probably be weird to those that think I'm weird.
I will be taking a trip there in the next month or so and see if it is what I'm hoping it will be, and I will update you as soon as I have visited Austin so I can see first hand what they offer. I do know that they filmed the movie Man of the House there that starred Tommy Lee Jones and Cedric the Entertainer. Just with the research that I've done on the internet about Austin ,Texas I would say that there is a 99% chance that I will relocate there in the next year or as soon as I can sell my current house.
I own Wild West Worm Farm Enterprises, www.wildwestwormfarm.com and it would seem that Austin, Texas would even be a better place for the name of my company as opposed to Calhoun, Georgia that is no where near the Wild West.
