British number one Andy Murray progressed into the second week of Wimbledon as he easily strolled past Victor Troicki 6-2 6-3 6-4 on Centre Court this evening.
The 21 year old Scot played his best tennis of this years championships overcoming Troicki in one hour and 36 minutes.
It was clear from the outset that Troicki, ranked 30th in the world was not able to cope with Murray's game as the Scot broke twice, taking the first set in 23 minutes.
A series of delightful drop shots and dazzling passing shots saw Murray take his opponent by the Jugular and give him a lesson in how to play grass court tennis.
Even when Troicki had a bit of luck when his forehand volley hit the net cord, Murray's return did the same, leaving the Serb floundering at the net, lying in disbelief at the brick wall he seemed to be playing against.
Murray had little problem in the next two sets and when the rain looked set to force a break while the new roof on centre court made its official debut, Murray stepped it up a gear hitting a precise drop shot and a crisp cross court forehand which John Mcenroe described as 'Federer esq' before serving out the match.
Murray will now play Switzerland's Stanislav Wawrinka in the fourth round as his quest for Wimbledon glory gathers pace, ahead of the second week.
