70 killed in Baghdad Bombings

Baghdad : Iraq | 5 months ago
Views: 19

The latest bombings in Baghdad, that left behind nearly 70 dead, throws up the question once again – who benefits from such inhuman actions? Do the perpetrators of such crimes not realize that, one day, they could be at the receiving end, their children might become orphans, and their wives widows? Why should wars be fought in cities and why should such areas be selected where there are chances of human casualties? One of the two powerful bombs that went off was suspected to have been hidden under a pile of vegetables and strapped to a motorcycle rickshaw in a crowded marketplace. Incidentally, the death toll in bombings over the past week is around 250 and has come in the wake of pullout of American forces from Iraq.
