Dolphin Starved to Death in Moscow Dolphinarium

Dolphin called “Baycal” died last week in Moscow Delphinarium. This happened after company management changed through economic raid. The stuff who trained and took care of dolphins before and whose professional skills were highly appreciated, was totally dismissed. According to former trainers and vets, new CEO appointed “amateurs” to important positions. E. g. new dolphins’ vet is former gynaecologist fired from previous job for stealing.

Moscow Dolphinarium offered a set of unique programs, as joint swimming of dolphins and kids with locomotorium disease. These programs were considered to be very helpful in treatment of illnesses and now all of them are stopped.

At present there is an instant danger to life of another dolphin, says former vet: “The dolphin is so skinny now that we can see his neck. This is abnormal.”

It seems that new owners starve dolphins and treat them maliciously.
