NATIONAL Council for Commuter’s Protection (NCCP) called the attention of the managements of Metro Rail Transit (MRT) and Light Rail Transit (LRT) to immediately disinfect their facilities to prevent their passengers of acquiring the Influenza A (H1N1) virus.

NCCP president Elvira Medina disclosed most of the A(H1N1) victims are ordinary people who regularly ride the MRT and LRT facilities including the jitneys and taxi cabs.

Medina said it is allegedly the prime obligation of the owners of all public transportation vehicles to ensure these are clean so as to prevent the proliferation of A(H1N1) flu among their commuters or passengers.
