Barack Obama can’t quit smoking

Washington : DC : USA | 5 months ago

US President Barack Obama is on the horns of a dilemma – he does not want to see his pet ideas go up in smoke. He has signed the antismoking bill but he himself admits that it is difficult for him to kick the smoking habit. In his words – ‘... I would say that I am 95% cured. But there are times when I mess up…" He never smokes in front his kids. He has likened his weakness to smoking to that experienced by alcoholics – quitting is difficult once you become an addict. Hence the objective should be to discourage the growing-up generation from getting addicted. The proposed bill prohibits tobacco companies from promoting the products in any manner detrimental to children and teenagers. These measures include ban on adding candy and fruit flavors to the cigarettes apart from descriptions like ‘mild’ or ‘light’ and marketing these in sports and entertainment events.

My kind of man. Smoking his way to an early and painful death. Sounds like fun.

You can't blame him for having difficulty quitting. His new job as president is probably the most stressful job in the world. However, with everything the guy has already accomplished, there is no doubt that he can quit if he really wants to.
