Will Sarabjit Singh get mercy?

Islamabad : Pakistan | 5 months ago
Views: 96

A person by the name of Sarabjit Singh has been on death row in Pakistan for a long time – it is reported that he was involved in a bomb blast in Pakistan that killed 14 people. He has been in jail since 1990 and a number of mercy petitions have been sent to the Pakistan authorities from different levels but these have been turned down. It is understood that only the President of Pakistan can grant pardon – and, that has not happened. The case is typically riddled in mysteries – is it really a case of mistaken identity as has been repeatedly asserted by his family members? Or – are there other undisclosed mysteries behind his actions? Or – is he a mere pawn used by both sides to gain leverage on other matters?
