A GUILT TRIP FROM THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES

WASHINGTON DC - June 22, 2009 - I just got an email from President Obama, in my general mailbox delivery system. I want to share it with everybody.

Last week, I announced United We Serve – a nationwide call to service challenging you and all Americans to volunteer this summer and be part of building a new foundation for America.

And when I say “all,” I mean everyone – young and old, from every background, all across the country. We need individuals, community organizations, corporations, foundations, and our government to be part of this effort.

Today, for the official kick off of United We Serve, members of my administration have fanned out across America to participate in service events and encourage all Americans to join them.

Does this need a comment really? Would you have a personal comment about some public relations stunt called "United We Serve." Which genius PR exec dreamed that up? Get out the propaganda posters, here comes the guilt trip. Roll up your sleeves ladies, we have some aircraft to assemble. Give me a break.

Takes a lot of brass monkeys to bail out the banks instead of the homeowners, and toss people out of FEMA trailers, then act like nothing happened, never address the basic issues, then ask everybody to show up and volunteer.

How about you get your army of volunteers from the bored wealthy children who spend their summers surfing and going to Europe? That sounds more in line. How about hit up the children whose parents sit in Congress? How about all those university graduates who the American taxpayer subsidized for the last 4 years who whine about they can't get a professional job, and have to work at Macys instead.

How about go get all those people on the Girls Gone Wild videos? They look like they're standing around doing nothing all day. How about go get a chain gang from all the people incarcerated in this nation, who really could lead valuable lives if we had a system of justice that wasn't color-blind.

Hey, how about all those illegal aliens you're always complaining about? I'm sure if you let them volunteer, instead of tossing them out, they'd be more than happy to help. They're working for free already.

I hate hipocracy in government. I really hate government employees who dictate policy and then pull a guilt trip. What do they think this is, the Kennedy era all over again? America has been volunteering it's eyeballs out since FDR, and now it's time for a little responsible government, don't ya think?

Even FDR said he would hate to think that bureaucracy would get so big that charity would have to run the United States. Read a history book will ya?

The only reason I voted for this guy, is that little children in school sit all day long and stare at a photo of a president they can't relate to. So now, they can stare at smiley face and go "hey that's not too shabby, maybe I'll feel good about myself for once."

How's my credibility rating now? Now that I challenged truth in journalism? How am I doing on the old credibility rating? I got 17,000 hits on a piece about Iran, and I got an applause meter of 3.2. Go figure.
