Henry Allingham born on June 6, 1896, in Clacton, East London is at present the world's oldest man. He attributes his long life to the three important things - cigarettes, whisky, and wild, wild women. He, however, was married only once in 1919 soon after returning from the World War I and spent 50 years of married bliss. He has survived three different centuries – the nineteenth, the twentieth and the twenty first, has seen two World Wars and is the last surviving founder member of the Royal Air Force. He hates to talk about wars – in his words: "War's stupid. Nobody wins." He also advises others to remain within their capacities – that is vital for a long life. How very right – there is no end to one’s wants and desires. Once he learns to be content with what he has, he is automatically set for a long innings.
