Chinese Prostitutes Spreading HIV & AID's at Rapid Rates

In attempt to slow the spread of HIV and Aids by Chinese prostitutes, the Chinese government has juiced its efforts to educate these women on the preventive measures and misconceptions that surround the disease. China boosts the largest population in the world and prostitution is extremely popular amongst the Chinese people. Chinese officials fear that a major spread of this disease is looming in the future because the Chinese people are extremely uneducated on the topic. Prostitutes claim that they are immune to HIV and AID's because they use condoms and take injections before clients arrive.

Officials estimate that 700,000 people are living with HIV in China and that there are about 50,000 new infections every year, which is strongly linked to the "sex workers" or prostitutes. Its important to note that prostitution is illegal in China, yet the Chinese government has been known to turn a cheek to the illegal activity because of the large profits it grosses on a yearly basis. Considering that China houses at least one billion persons and statistics are showing that 1 in every 200 prostitutes has HIV. Mix this stat with the fact that these sex workers have on average up to eight clients a day, we can see that we have a recipe for a major epidemic.
