US President Obama killed a fly. Nothing unusual. We’ve all done that at one time or another. Except for the Peta people. They practice a catch-and-release program with flies...

I don't know why this is such a big deal. He karate chopped a fly like Mr. Miyagi. We all saw it and it was wonderful. Now it's time to move on. What's next? Are we going to obsess about him juggling some poultry like Bozo the clown? If he starts step dancing like a leprechaun tomorrow, will we be unable to forget about it? Stuff like this is getting more attention than his health care and economic policies.

I think that it wasn't a big deal but the point is that Obama was suppose to act his position. What really was the need to kill the fly and then show it off? He should have known better that he's heading a country where certain people are gonna make a big deal outa it: You might wanna have to take a look at it again : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X73BRo66_6U

Thank you for the comments Inspector Gadget and allknower. The point of my article was that people make too much out of that little incident. I thought it was funny and it showed that the President has a good sense of humor. We should worry about larger issues than swatting a fly.

Ahh... PETA. They're like Greenpeace, except they actually do things. As a political and social activist, I respect the fact that PETA thrusts things out into the limelight with their grotesque photos, but you don't change peoples' opinions that way.
