North Korea once more is threatening the world and shaking its saber in an effort to gain attention from the rest of the world. Maybe the world should start paying attention!

Reports are that North Korea will test another missile aimed at Hawaii. While there appears to be no threat to the main islands of Hawaii from the Taepodong-2 missile which has a reported range of 4,000 miles (or approximately 6,437 km) it doesn’t mean that other countries are spared.

Australia is within range, all of Japan, a lot of China, and Russia and even parts of India could be in danger to this missile not to mention countless other countries, like South Korea, which are all in range of this missile.

Now according to the International Crisis Group, North Korea has mustard gas, phosgene and other chemical weapon to add to the nuclear weapons and it makes it suddenly a big deal, one that all international countries should be wary of.

Now how does this group suggest to defuse this situation? By asking the US to engage in talks with North Korea. It should be asking for all countries affected to engage in this conversation. Countries like China and Russia say they want to enter or regain their political clout, this is a great way to start, by putting their weight into this confrontation to help bring it to a close peacefully and quickly.
