Sheriff Joe

Crime and punishment. Strong arm the poor and humiliate the desperate addicts. yes many unfortunate things happen in our society. People make regretable decisions and obviouslly have to be accountable for there actions. But to completely degrade and humiliate them and strip them of all human diginity. Does that serve them or are lareger community at large' I don't think so. If i raised my kids that way should i be surprised that they have lost all respect for themselves or anyoone else. If we see and have seen many families ruled by a tyrant like this we are outraged at the abuse that these poor children have suffered. we are compassionte to there plight and know there road won't be an easy one because of the lack of human decency the had to endure. Plain and simple it is Abuse, but somehow when it comes too the inmates in our Maricopa county correction system we give Sheriff Joe a gold star like he is doing a good thing. and to make matters worse this is the working poor who suffer the most and they are the unheard and quiet amongst. I guess i live on the fringe of the poor i barely make ends meet but i get by. I have a car and a job. and when i go down to visit a friend at the jail i look like i am wealthy. Don't worry our county jail system is an equal oppurtunity discrimanater they treat all of us who trudge all the way across town with our five kids on the bus to support our mother, daughter , sister just as badly as the inmates themselves. That's alright if you are in the system not only don't you matter but your family will likely suffer some of the same abuse just trying to visit you or just to put some precious money on your books so that at least you won't have to eat what they call food in this institution. they really do not have a word to descrbe it it's not a dish and the same multicolored drool is all they get. Great job empowering the masses to achieve a better life. Good Job Sheriff joe i am sure after there beautiful stay in your facilities they are prpared to become productive members of society. Anger and bitterness and fear are sure to create that positive change in anyone. Keep up the good work
