A massive underwater mountain that discovered in the Indonesian island of Sumatera earlier last month wasn’t a danger mountain. Scientist said earlier its could be a volcano with potentially catastrophic power, but so far research said its not a danger mountain, because there is no volcano activities.
The mountain which was discovered about 330 kilometres west Bengkulu city Sumatera during research to map the sea bed’s seismic fault lines have cone shape in about 4,600 metres high, and 50 kilometers diameter, and its summit is 1,300 metres below the surface. Survey involved French scientists and International Geophysical Company CGGVeritas on ultra deep geological survey.
