Perhaps if Knox county spent more time persecuting real criminals rather than recreational college users, their meth problem might not be so bad. It is not the recreational marijuana users that drain hundreds of hours of police time ... believe me, they would rather be left alone.
Unfortunately, outdated laws and stigmas against a pretty harmless substance has ignorant Americans - local and big government alike - are depleting public resources whose time would be much better spent fighting real crime.
If they were told to go after every cigarette smoker and alcohol drinker, there would be murderers and rapists running wild around our country as no one would be there to enforce against those crimes either. Both of these substances have proven time again to be far more harmful to individuals and to society than marijuana, yet they are legal.
