What could possibly make Google nervous?

Ottawa : Canada | 5 months ago

Well, according to the NY Post, Microsoft's new "Bing" could make them nervous.

They're dubbing it a 'decision engine' rather than a search engine, and focussing on specific areas like local searches, shopping, travel and the like.

(Happening in the US but reported from Ottawa.)

I hope Microsoft doesn't get into the search engine game. It's bad enough having to deal with windows without having a browser or a search engine that's always crashing as well. Microsoft domination of everything digital is just plain irritating.

I don't see this one going anywhere. Dude said it best in the linked article "people search based on ease of use and habit," Microsoft is still on its heels after Office '08 and Vista and is trying to come up with other ways to generate revenue while the rest of the world goes out and gets a Mac (like my mom, many friends, and I did).
