Praja Rajyam president K. Chiranjeevi has categorically ruled out speculations that his party would go alliance with other major parties in the coming elections to the G reater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation.
He made it clear that there would be no question of having any alliance with parties like the Congress, the Telugu Desam and the Telangana Rashtra Samithi. However, he left room for speculations for having alliance with other parties like Lok Satta Party, BJP or the Left.
Even while saying that there would be no truck with the three parties, he said the party was yet to decide whether the Lok Satta Party, the Bharatiya Janata Party or the Left could be their possible allies in the hustings.
He held three hour-long meeting at the party office in a bid to draw up an action plan on how they would go about preparing the ground for the GHMC elections. He intereacted with over two dozen leaders from the city.
He announced a core working committee comprising 60 members, followed by four zonal committees, each with about 25 members and working groups for each of the 24 Assembly constituencies falling under the GHMC limits.
These committees apart, three leaders - E. Peddi Reddy, T. Manohar and Basavaraju Srinivas were given the responsibility of monitoring the party activities and collecting views on how best to take the party’s message of change, to the people. They would then compile a report and send it to senior leader T. Devender Goud and the party president.(EOM)
