Two Suicide Bombers Target Mosques in Pakistan

Of all the places, the Taliban in Pakistan have starting targeted mosques . The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan has claimed responsibility for the suicide bombings on Friday in Pakistan claiming 12 lives and injuring 105. Both the bombers targeted the Friday Congregations in the mosques for the Jumma prayers. In the first hit in Lahore, the target was Dr Allama Sarfraz Naeemi who was the first Islamic cleric in Pakistan to raise a voice against the Taliban and issue a fatwa (religious decree) that all suicide bombings were Haram (prohibited) since suicide itself is Haram (prohibited) in Islam. After the Jumma prayers, the Allama went to his office situated in the mosque as he was also the head cleric at the mosque. At around 2:30 in the day, a young man entered the Jamia Naeemia and then the office of Allama Sarfaraz. Soon after, a huge explosion took place in the office killing three people and injuring Dr Allama Sarfraz critically. He was rushed to the nearby hospital where he succumbed to his wounds. He was a PhD holder and one of the most respected religious scholars in Pakistan. 4 people were martyred in the attack in the mosque.

At about the same time, a suicide bomber targeted a Mosque of a Military Unit in Nowshehra, a town located in NWFP, and about half an hour drive from Peshawer. The Jumma prayer was underway at the Supply Depot of the Army Service Corps (ASC) in Nowshehra Cantonment when a suicide bomber rammed his explosive laden Ambulance with the outer wall of the mosque facing the Bypass Road. 8 soldiers offering their prayers were martyred in the attack while the mosque was also martyred. The bomb blast left 105 people injured, many of them soldiers serving at the Supply Depot. The bomber was able to enter the area as he was using an Ambulance and he evaded checking. It has exposed the real face of these terrorists who have now started using Ambulances to target people offering prayers in Mosques which have the status of Allah's home in Islam.

The question arises as to how those who are bombing God's home and killing those who worship him; how can these people say that they are fighting in the name of Islam. They are much worse than non-Muslims. It is also a moral defeat for them as they have started targeting the same mosques which they used to hold in such high respect as places of worship and Allah's home.
