Unpaid lingerie bills of a celebrity

A Saudi princess Maha al-Sudairi has left behind a large trail of unpaid bills for items purchased. These include several sets of lingerie. She is not known to be of this type but, of late, she has been avoiding meeting her financial commitments. She owes money to quite a number of luxury shops and hotels in Paris and when the creditors try to contact her for payments, she avoids them. One recalls the latest Indian incident in which Sheetal Mafatlal, the wife of a renowned businessman, under-declared the value of jewelry she was carrying into India – she had to spend a night in jail under police custody and is currently out on bail. Such peculiar behavior of celebrities does more harm to their image than good. They should realize that people look up to them and worship them as role models – they do not want to think of the celebs as ordinary, cheap cheats.
