India came into the Cricket World Cup 20 20 as the World Champion's and they have quite a task on their hand to make sure to retain their title. Things were not looking quite in their favor as they head in to the tournament. However their recent run in the tournamanet, their performance in the warm matches and the Group matches, though against the meannows, have told a different story, and have made many a greats from cricket to change their opinion.

India started their mission to retain the world champion's title in the shortest form of the game on a disastrous note, when they came on to meet head to head and toe to toe with New Zealand, Result, India lost, lost by 9 runs. THings started to get a even thicker air with the fact that this version of the game is the most unpredictable, with any team beating any other team on its own day and any kind of result, no matter how huge of a upset that might be, it can't be termed as a surprise. And the very starting games of the Group matches, in which Netherlands beat England and West Indies beat Australia, added a further testimony to the great's claim. However Indians Still were hopefull.

And Indian did bounced back with a emphatic win over the arch rivals Pakistan for a victory of over 9 wickets. And than followed it up by a victory over Bangladesh and Ireland by 25 runs and 8 wickets respectively. Though the victory were against not so big names in the cricket, the victory were convincing and it did proved that even in such a small game, strategies do come into play and much more importantly, India is working out very well as a unit and have the necessary strength and depth in their batting and bowling to take any own any team on any given day.

Wishing India a gr8 run and all the success to retain the title.

'Though the victory were against not so big names in the cricket' and you qouted Pakistan as among one of the NOT SO BIG NAMES. haha

get your facts straight dude!

India is doing well. Yes. but you cant put Ireland, Bangladesh and Pakistan in one group. Pakistani bowlers actually invented techniques in cricket.

Well I am sorry shackled001. I never meant to put Pakistan in the same group as Bangladesh and Ireland. Pakistan is a team of really amazing talent and the place where the reverse swing was invented by legends of cricket in Wasim Akram and Waqar Younis.
Thanks for pointing the mistake out. I agree.

oh ok. i was surprised too 'cause no die-hard cricket fan would ever say this. :)

to tell you the truth i came in a mood to rub that Pakistan is in semi finals and Indian team is out. But well after reading your comment i wouldn't do that.

cricket really comes alive because of Pak-india cricket rivalry. Majoryly cause a billion odd people thrive on it :)

Good luck to Pakistan and hopefully India will do good next time. That is what sports is all about, you cant be too sure about the results.

n yesh, the Ws were a true magic. :)

cheers.
