No joke this - there’s a robot in the kitchen

The Japanese have gone far ahead of other nations as far as robotics is concerned, they have created robots that can clean utensils and others that can be programmed to pour drinks – therefore, the next step is to have robots that can slice vegetables and even cook meals. The Japanese are far sighted and in view of the increasing numbers of elders in society and with the reluctance of people to enter the profession of chefs, the only viable alternative is to go in for robots. One is reminded of the human like robot Vickie of the famous TV serial Small Wonder. She was programmed to do everything just like a human being. That day might not be far off when every family would have a robot in the kitchen.

No thanks because in case of malfunction the robot can turn on its owner
with a knife and start cutting him up for breakfast. Just think about the
Robot from Lost In Space with Doctor Smith. 13/6/2009.
