Askthejudge.info is a new website for teens and tweens, parents, educators and anyone with an interest in juvenile rights and responsibilities. (www.askthejudge.info)
Askthejudge was recently created by retired juvenile judge Tom Jacobs. With over 20 years experience as a juvenile judge in Arizona, Judge Jacobs is also the author of several legal books written for teens including Teen Cyberbullying Investigated: Where Do Your Rights End and Consequences Begin? (Free Spirit Publishing)
Based out of Flagstaff, Arizona, the website is an educational and interactive tool offering users current information about laws, court decisions and legal rights that affect our youth. Askthejudge.info also reports on current events and news reports throughout the country involving teens. It is the only site of its kind to present legal questions and answers for teens and parents with the unique ability to interact with Judge Jacobs and other teens.
“We want teens and users to feel comfortable asking questions and commenting on matters of importance to them,” explained Judge Jacobs. “Askthejudge is designed to educate users about teen rights and the law and to facilitate discussion on important and current issues affecting teens.”
The site is also seeking feedback and participation in an online survey that can be linked to from the homepage at www.askthejudge.info.
