were taking it seriously, Lahiri said.
About 10 students came to Kalyani court on
Jun 6 for Notary Attestation. It is a system to charge rupees 10 for
each Notary attestion, advocate Shantanu Bhowmick said. The students
paid the as usual charges and returned after compltion their tasks.
When it came to the knowledge of Senior students of the college , they
got angry for charging for the Notery Attestation. So a few of them
rushed to the adjoining Kalyani Court and asked the explanations. One
of the advocates attempted to explane but at the time of conversations
some students abused the advocates. As usually the advocates
protested. The situation turned grim and once the students allegedly
started to ransack the court and beaten a few advocates in the court
campus.More students soon join the vandalism and aimless beating. They
even broke down the glass of the main gate of the court. Once the
advocates , in retaliation , involved themselves in the clash and 9
students too got the injuries . The 3 of the advocates were bleeded .
On the other, 4 of the injured students were admitted to the Kalyani
JNM Hospital and rest 5 were released after first aid , said Malay
Samanta , the Ex - SFI leader of Kalyani and Present CPIM MLA of
Chakdaha . Though the advocates marked the students as SFI workers ,
