Cobination of full-body control and your gaming experience

Microsoft announced a new Wii-style hands-free system for the Xbox 360 gamers that would be under the full-body control allowing the players to interact with the game. While reaching the ordinary gamers, it can bring a new phase in gaming industry where the characters/avatars in the games will pop out of monitors to feel your excitement. How is it possible? A 3D display that can pull out your game objects from the monitor.

The 3D games have been around for a while. And, the gamers already have the taste of Xbox 360 and Wii in 3D. Now the latest advancement in technology has brought the world’s first 3D monitors (from iz3d.com) that will allow you to see the 3D objects come out of your monitor, cheaply with a pair of glasses. Though there are some noted limitations with this technology, the cheap passive polarized glasses work well with these special monitors from the iZ3D. PC magazine has reviewed this technology to be one of the newer attractions in 2009.

Now, the combination of full-body controlled game in Xbox 360 and 3D monitors with the polarized glasses can give you the fun of “real game”. You shoot a character in a game, the bullet coming from the enemy will not be blocked by the thin layer of the monitor, it will come towards you, very close; at least you will feel like it because the polarized glasses. If you do not want to spend too much on these latest gazettes, just sit and watch, another cheaper solution will come. If you are the “go and get it” person, this is the time to step forward. Yes, you can laugh with your “Mario” alone in the room, while Mario jumps out of your screen to tap your shoulder!

Cool story. I would have liked to see in it, though, when the system will be available and when Microsoft made the announcement. Cheers.

Thanks PhillipWoolgar! Microsoft announced it last week in LA. Yes, it is going to very cool. Specially, when we start combining the 3D technology with full-body controlled gaming system. The movies have a trend to be more interactive, i.e. moving chairs. I think games will be more interactive and 3D with the "real feel", and so will be the movies! There might be movies that you make as you go! yeah same idea! That's just my opinion, you don't have to agree!
Cheers!

Sounds wicked cool, but not something I'm sure I'd like my kids to have. Too much chance of getting lost in that world. Of course denying them is probably worse in its own right.
