Rising militancy in Pakistan

Pakistan, being at the forefront in the war on terror, has seen a transformation from a poverty-ridden corrupt state to poverty plus terrorism-laden failed state. There is no rule of law in many parts of Pakistan and people are at the mercy of Taliban.

The government has finally started to take action against these extremists but has yet to achieve any success. The main reason behind this failure is because many government officials symphatize with Taliban. Same is the case with the military. The military is only concerned about India despite the fact that India is not a threat.
