Obama: Only Muslims should be non-violent

In his Cairo speech, President Barack Obama insisted that Palestinians must stop using violent resistance against Israel. He said that violent resistant never works. According to Mr. Obama, the Palestinians should follow the paths of Gandhi, Mandela, and King by using non-violent civil disobedience. Firstly, Mr. Obama is lying when he said that violent resistance never works. There used to be a British Mandate of Palestine. Does anyone remember that? It's no longer called that. Why? Because there were a bunch of Jewish groups like the Irgun and the Stern Gang. What did they do? They resisted the British. But they did it non-violently right? Wrong! These were Jewish terrorist groups who carried out a massive terrorist campaign against the British. It was violent resistance... and it worked. The British are no longer occupying Palestine.

Mr. Obama is being totally disingenuous and hypocritical when he tells the Palestinians to be non-violent. Why doesn't Mr. Obama tell Israel to be non-violent? Why doesn't Israel follow the path of Gandhi and use civil disobedience to fight Palestinian violence? Here's a thought: why doesn't Mr. Obama himself practice what he preaches? Instead of using air strikes and drone attacks that kill innocent people, why doesn't Mr. Obama instruct his military commanders on the ground to order their troops to use non-violent protests to defeat the Taliban and al Qaida? Why is there this double standard? Non-Muslims are allowed to be as violent as they want to be while Muslims are instructed to be non-violent. Mr. Obama is a hypocrite, and his speech was total propaganda. I'm offended by the fact that Obama insulted my intelligence with his speech. And I am disappointed that so many Arabs and Muslims have apparently bought into Obama's propaganda.

I don't know why everyone expects Obama to stand for world peace when his fIrst consideration is obviously the U.S. Given that he's still doing a pretty decent job because the way he see's it, what's good for the world is good for America. That's a better political view than most. America is interested in maintaining it's global power, simple, and Obama see's the best path to that is diplomacy and getting everyone on his side. Don't need to believe everything he says but rationally analyse it and you'll see that if we (the muslim world as such) can put aside our pride, then maybe we can do the important things, like actually achieving a peace in Palestine and ending the suffering instead of prolonging the conflict or allowing it to be prolonged for the sake of doing it 'our way'.
