Obama is a smart guy. He is not the type of president who’s intelligence can be ‘misunderestimated.’ It’s possible that he knew the significance of beavertail and beavers in the annals of Canadian history and culture, and it was so simple, yet so grand a gesture, to stop his motorcade and get one.

Obama’s campaign to be the first African-American president resided not only on his charm and intelligence, but more so a carefully crafted slogan and campaign. Yes we can! Change! Both of which have been the cries of youth, since times’ were a’changing back in the 1960s when Americans spoke out and rallied for causes. The Obama campaign was a throwback to that. Only with the efficiency of 21st communication.
His campaign seemed to be simple yet intricate. An easy idea on a grand scheme. And also, something that, it seemed had never been done before in American politics. Include the masses. It's simplicity is amazing.
