Thank you for this most informative article. It piques my interest and my gratitude for those working behind the scenes in quite possibly, one of the world's most dangerous jobs. I hope the new name replacing "war on drugs" has changed to omit the word and mentality of 'war'.
It's amazing that the U.S. is expending so many resources on fighting terrorism, but I feel bad for all those men and women who are honest good people doing their jobs but who are part of a system that promotes terrorism and the heads of which system are willing to promote terrorism in certain areas as long as it achieves certain national goals. That is the shame of it. Nothing against all those regular FBI etc agents who I am sure are mostly good people, but unfortunately subordinated to a system that is used by the powerful for their own ends.
