Suicide and bomb attacks continue in major cities of Pakistan and recently some of the remaining insurgents that had escaped from Swat and Mingora (after shaving off their beards) are threating to attack Karachi, the heart and soul of Pakistan.
Tight security is underway and people there are being searched and extra caution is witnessed by Pakistanis everywhere.

    Hi Fauzia
I know! Supposedly Masoud has 200 martyr's with suicide belts ready to hit the hearts that is why we have to hit him first. This is going to take an all out effort! Take care!

If the insurgents in Swat Valley want to end their life why don't they get together one and all into a building and blow themselves up without doing anybody any harm except themselves? 31/5/2009.

dude, Great cartoons...they really capture the essence of what is happening. Masud has been throwing out these threats for while now and they might be real. Security has been stepped up across the oard and it looks like the security agencies are coming through in a lot of cases. They also have their inside informants. This is it is such a complicated cat and mouse game that it's hard to keep track of it. Throw into the mix that there are also mafias and drug cartels involved that work for the highest bidder and you can see how daunting the task becomes. It is a complicated picture. Nato and the Afghan government have to deliver on one basic issue, that is money, development and better governance on the Afghan side. They have to stop killing civilians and focus on the Police activities of tracking the money and weapons flows. The taliban insurgency in afghanistan is in danger of becoming a grass-roots movement. Not soon, but it is possible and becomes more likely as relal conditions on the ground deteriorate. If the U.S. maintains the moral high-ground, that is half the war won.
