The latest I have on Pakistan now is so. Pakistan's secretary of defence said the job is nearly done, the Taliban will be destroyed within a few days. Pakistan have recaptured the biggest town in Swat Valley, Mingora, there are some pockets of sporadic fighting but there's no threat now.

That is what the regular military says in and in all likelihood its true. Maintaining the peace, facilitating reconstruction, helping the laypeople to rebuild and find new occupations, that is now the hard part.It requires project management skills that the government sector in Pakistan basically doesn't have. There is one aid group called the NDRCS that has the best grip on what's happening so helping them or promoting them might led to their taking the role of coordination which is most lacking. They have planning but lack resources both merducal and human.But they have co-ordination organisation. Let us try to bring these things togethersp so that coordination and resusts can be achieved.
