Bow to the King, Dictator, President, whatever.

Interesting chat on one of our popular radio stations today. The first caller I heard was rather upset that the programmes host had referred to our new president as merely, Jacob Zuma and not the President Jacob Zuma. I would love to ask that worthy member and/or very serious supporter of our president and obviously the ANC why it mattered so much to him.

As far back as my ancient memory can recall one refers to the leader of any country by their name or by their title and very seldom when speaking in general conversation do we refer to them by both name and title. I must also admit that I was rather amused yesterday when on another radio station our president was referred to as His Excellency the President Mr. Jacob Juma. I ask what is all the fuss about as to why the supporters of the president and the ANC keep having to remind themselves and everyone around within hearing distance as to the who, what and why of his is, hope you know what I mean.

Are the ANC wishing for a complete takeover and the shutting down of democracy so that South Africa becomes another dictatorship on the African continent? Is this them getting in to practice so that in the near future they can loudly recall their adulation from the very beginning for another greedy being who has used voting in a democratic nation as a stepping stone to create another disaster?

Thank your lucky stars that he is not being referred to as "Comrade JZ". Given the sort of rubbish that many callers spout over the radio, I'm surprised that this one hasn't yet crept in. You might like to look at what I had to say about him on http://www.musicaltraveller.blogspot.com
