Manila, Philippines---- The series of increases of pump prices in the market brought about curiosity--- because of this, the Department of Energy (DOE) are planning to monitor the prices of petroleum products.

According to a radio report of DWIZ, Energy Secretary Angelo Reyes was quoted as saying that the ‘sudden increase of crude in the market might cause; an increase in petroleum products.’

Midnight, 2 of the major oil companies increased it’s pump prices by P1.50 per liter particularly Shell and Sea Oil.

Then it was followed by Petron, Chevron (formerly known to be Caltex), and Total Philippines.

According to the Department of Energy(DoE) each barrel of crude increased by $5.91; and each barrel of gasoline increased by almost $7.
