According to Russian newspaper Sport Today, the Russian KHL team Saint Petersburg are putting a lot of effort trying to sign three big stars.
Czech Republic's best scorer during the World Championships, Petr Cajanek played the recently ended season in Dynamo Moscow and picked up nine goals and 22 assists. The former St. Louis Blues forward is a quite small sized center got a great split-vision and is a natural playmaker.
World Championships Gold medal winner the last two years, Sergey Zinoviev ended up in dispute with his two line mates Alexei Morozov and Danis Zaripov in Bars Kazan and after a long process he joined Dynamo Moscow and took them to the semi-finals in the Gagarin Cup. In the World Championships he scored one goal and four assists.
Viktor Kozlov, member of the russian colony in the Washington Capitals is also an interesting player for Saint Petersburg. In 897 NHL games he has scored 537 points spread at 198 goals and 339 assists.
Even though they are far away from star status in the NHL, this are three great reinforcements for Saint Petersburg.
