Robotic Emotion

Miss Saya is the substitute teacher in a primary school in Japan. Saya was created as a receptionist robot in 2004 by professor Hiroshi Kobayashi of the Tokyo University of Science.

Saya now works as a substitute teacher. Saya can express six emotions — surprise, fear, disgust, anger, happiness, sadness. Her rubber skin is pulled from the back with motors and wiring.
