Jack Pendelton got a "real" surprise as he tucked into his meal at an

Upstate New York TGI Friday's Diner last Friday.

He saw something gray in his broccoli and much to his surprise was

looking into the black, beady eyes of a snake staring back at him!

It was still attached to a piece of spine. Cooked..mind you!

The Texas-based food chain is investigating how this came about

and let Mr. Pendelton and his girlfriend eat for free.

They left the diner somewhat "rattled"!

No wonder broccoli gets a bad rap!

Oh what the heck..an oldie Goldie in the Vid Section!
