Kasab Charged with 86 charges by special court

Kasab has been charged with waging war against India by a special court on Wednesday, May 6, 2009. He has been charged with 86 charges and faces prosecution. Kasab pleaded not guilty against the charges. He was charged under the Explosives and the Arms Act, Customs Act.

Kasab is the lone survivor of the terrorists who attacked Mumbai face charges on murder, possessing weapons and explosives. If convicted of the charges against him he would face death penalty along with two other Indians who are believed to be a part of the LeT and having played a role in the terror attack in Mumbai on November 26, 2008.

Kasab’s lawyer Kazmi maintains that Kasab is a minor and hence a juvenile, irrespective of Kasab’s acceptance that he is 21 years old. Kasab and his Lawyer have yet again confirmed the fact that he is Pakistan nationalist.
