Amid celebrations in Apeldoorn,Netherlands,a Dutch driver ramed his car through police cordon, into a crowd of cheering people this morning,ruthlessly flinging people in the air.Four were killed and about thirteen were injured.
'Queen's Day' was being celebrated and the spectators looked very happy ,cheering their favorite Queen, Beatrix,but after the accident celebrations were cancelled and an air of gloom prevailed,according to Associated Press.
Beatrix and the other members of the royal family were in an open-top bus and were only a few yards from the incident.Later the driver, who was badly injured, admitted that it was a pre-planned crime and it was aimed at the Queen and the other members of her family.The 38-year old man(whose named was not disclosed,)had recently been sacked from his job.He,however, had no police record or a history of mental ill-health.Authorities said he could face life imprisonment.
