Lollapalooza 2009 - Line Up and More

Summertime means festival time. In days of old summer brought carnivals, fairs, and the traveling show. Today the season brings with it a variety of music festivals for fans of music to gather and share their love of the sound. In August Lollapalooza sets up for three days of joyful noise in Grant Park. One thing that sets Lollapalooza apart from some of its counterparts is that the proceeds from the festival goes to benefit the Parkways Foundation to help enhance the public spaces of the Chicago area.

Advance tickets are now on sale for the 2009 edition of Lollapalooza August 7-9. Tickets are $190 for three days of music that features some 100 artists; and there are no service fees for buying tickets at the festival site – www.lollapalooza.com. Kids 10 and under are admitted free when accompanied by a ticket paying adult; and Lolla lets you bring the stroller for the wee ones. Lolla offers VIP seats in two elevated platform lounges, located at each side of the Main Stage with lunch and dinner buffets, air conditioned restrooms, seating in the shade, mini spa treatments, some adult beverages, and more for a price of $850.
