Jimi Hendrix with his own reality TV show? Wait a minute, isn't he, uh, uhm, deceased?
Yes he is, but the music lives on. As does video footage from February of 1969, when The Jimi Hendrix Experience played shows at London's Royal Albert Hall.
According to an article in Billboard last month, a camera crew followed Hendrix for a month around that time, and the late guitarist's sister, Janie, says the footage offers a "reality TV" glimpse of the rock star as he goes about his daily business.
Look for the DVD and CD releases of the Albert Hall concerts (with the additional "reality TV" footage) later this year. In the meantime, The Punditty Project offers a couple of original photographic images from Berkeley, where the legacy of Jimi Hendrix is literally set in concrete.
