Indian dreams of conquering space

Indian astronaut Rakesh Sharma would shortly be going to Russia to participate in the 25 year celebrations of the historic voyage in space. Times fly so fast. It seems to be only yesterday that Rakesh Sharma had been in Space and from there he sent the message down to Prime Minister Indira Gandhisarey jahaan say achha Hindustan hamara. When translated it means – my country India is the best. Subsequently, there have been many more expeditions and girls of Indian origin shone in the space flights from NASA. The first was Kalpana Chawla, who died in the Discovery incident and then there was NASA astronaut Sunita Williams who stayed in the space shuttle Atlantis for 195 days. Recently the Indians sent the Chandrayaan on a Moon mission and more plans are afoot to make her presence felt in the universe.
