The Iraqi male I earlier wrote about ,was silent for some days and I got worried since he promised to keep in touch and let me know how things evolved in Denmark. Today I heard from him again through this blessed thing that we call sms. I came home from night shift and saw the sms in my other cell phone and found out that, just as I had feared, he had been sick for ten days and had gone through surgery in his stomach. His plans to work in Denmark hadnt really turned out like he had hoped and now he is back in Sweden to rehabilitate from the ordeal. I just hope that he will find mercy here in this beautiful country of mine that has been known throughout the world as merciful and open to strangers. The political arena in Sweden is changing due to the crisis that we see globally and one of the things that I find intruiging is that ultra nationalists are increasing in numbers and that a party that respresents that social spectra is appearing in the news more frequently. "Sverige Demokraterna" is the name of that party. Even if that makes me feel worried, I dont mind the very reason for their present appearance in the media. They have been infiltrated by reporters that have recorded what they really say and feel about foreigners in Sweden at secluded meetings. When those opinons, that are extremely old fashioned and makes them seem well not very bright at all, are out on the open for all to hear the leader of this party tries to cover it up but noone can take what he says seriously since the party has always been known to be rasist and to practice secluded gatherings where the media isnt welcome at all. Why? Well that is quite obvious to most Swedes and I guess to everyone else that watches this from abroad.. To get back to my Iraqi friend, I have mailed him my well wishes and that I hope that he will get some peace and tranquility in his life. We all know that our health is affected when stress and danger surrounds us , so we can all udnerstand that this man needs a home and a normal life to become well again. I hope for this in my heart and end this by encouraging everyone to watch the political arena in their countries more frequently, because it usually affects the lives of those that we care for ? Yours Truly Deborah
