The disappointment at not being able to get the 100th win in test matches will haunt the Indian team for a long time. Having won the 1st test, Dhoni’s boys felt it would be a cakewalk over Vettori’s team to win the 2nd one also and, with it, the series. But events are turning out to prove otherwise. The advantage of having so many star batsmen in the team is coming to a naught – Sachin Tendulkar, on whom hopes were pinned, left for 49 runs and Rahul Dravid on 83. Yuvraj Singh could not open his account and Virendra Sehwag, the Captain for this encounter (because Dhoni is laid down with muscle cramps) forgot that it was not a T-20 game or an ODI. It is not prudent to try and hit sixers in such a situation. His team was chasing a 600 plus score and, as captain he had to plan the game meticulously.
