I think it is extremely wrong but equally interesting if i could just understand their psychology behind relating themselves to their modifications.If only i could get to speak to one of them.
If anyone has any opinion what reasons could be behind these modifications please drop your opinions here and raise my I.Q!!

As heatseeker mentions, it is more of an attention related issue. People who do this stuff just want to stand out from the crowd. They want to look unusual to people who will give them positive feedback

I knew a guy who got a tattoo done because he felt it looked good and the responses that he got encouraged him to get another more adventurous one done.

This in turn affects their social confidence. The person I mentioned because a social butterfly after his dual tattoo. People started talking about him and he became more famous. This was a guy who was extremely shy at one point and who avoided social gatherings.
