Two people were killed and four wounded in a fire that broke out Tuesday for the displaced persons camp near the city of El Geneina in West Darfur, said peacekeeping forces in Darfur yesterday that the gunmen who set fire to a camp for displaced people in Sudan's western Darfur region, killing at least two.
The peacekeeping forces of the African Union and the European Union that the people spoke of the four gunmen stormed the camp on Tuesday afternoon and set on fire, witnesses said the masked men broke into the camp and set fire to an abandoned house fire which led to a large number of houses,He said Speaker of the Legislative Council in western Darfur, the Sultan Saad Baharuddin said the fire was "caused by arson," and spent 50% of the property of citizens, and said that the fire had charred 700 homes and killed a man and a woman, adding that the leaders of the Administration in connection with a memo of the civil administration to ensure the future camp, said Amjad Mercy's chief of staff of peacekeeping forces of the African Union and the European Union in a telephone interview,That the fire broke out everywhere, and the impact on a lot of people,
He said four people were injured and two people died since that time, he said, adding that the fire destroyed about a quarter of the camp, home to about six thousand people, mostly from the Masalit tribe, and said that the fire is now under control.
