Zimbabwe continues to be an example of a very comfortable ostrage mentality from the rest of the world. Robert Mugabe who has "lead" the country since 1980 continues to astonish me with his brutal dictatorship. The election results are still pending and his soldiers continues to kill white farmers, any opposition and disregard from any form of democracy. Any opposition regardless of who does it is brutally squashed with very little reason.

Maybe someone needs to find oil in the country or we might need some monks marching there before the rest of the world starts to consider the country as worth focusing on. Amazing.

What is further amazing to me is that the world has seemed to have adopted the "wait and see" attitude about the current state of affairs in Zimbabwe, and of Robert Mugabe in general.  I wouldn't like to think that the major powers care ...

What is this picture? A swan song for one of the continents most disastrous and toxic dictators. The few bask in luxury while the farms lie fallow (having been seized by the government for cronies). Unemployment is 80% and inflation is almost immeasurable (exceeding Weimar Germany in the 1920s). What a sad mess. What a loss. Africa needs functioning economies, freedom to own property, and rule of law. It can never come to Zimbabwe until Mugabe goes.
