In what is predicted to be a precursor to an impending Bikers’ War, Sydney airport was witness to a group of warring gang members employing airport's metal poles as their own weapons of destrction. One person was killed in the scuffle.
The rampaging bikers were all through the main domestic terminal of Australia’s largest airport with rowdy action happening right in front of the terrified travellers. The scuffle started when a suspected group of bikers’ gang disembarked from an airplane only to be ambushed by members of another gang.
A total of 15 gangsters were involved in the violent clashes which culminated in most of the armed men fleeing the airport largely by taxis after killing a person. Police could arrest four of the gang members though.
The authorities fear a spillover on to the streets as a biker war is believed to be impending in the city of Sydney. The gangs involved in the airport clash are yet to be identified by the police.
