Deadly virus "DOWN ART UP VIRUS"

The real invisible threat to the computer industry is the deadly virus. Again the birth of virus noted, and named it as DOWN ART UP VIRUS.

This is a type of worm. What a terrible and funny thing is virus destroying both the human as well as the human made computer. You may think that both the type of virus is different but both are deadly thing.

The computer genius and other personnel are related to computer and IT industry was saying there is no doubt that this virus (worm) was made by a computer genius. All were agreeing this point.

This is a type of a malware programme which can affect each and every computer in this world. This virus was first traced during the month of November 2008. But the real destruction period was between December 2008 & January 2009.

Until December 2008 it has damaged nearly 6% of the world computer. This virus works in the windows software with the help of weakened programmes and also from the use of Flash Drives.

Down art up virus easily attacks the pirated software because most of the patched files are missing and the person cannot update it because he will at the risk of telling the Microsoft that he had pirated the software.

So according to the official report software piracy is greater in china so the virus will attack most of computers in china.

On the other hand the Symantec corporation ltd authorities kept their eyes wide open to counter attack the virus and to develop antivirus software for that. Let’s pray for them to develop the antivirus drug –I mean the software.

According to the Microsoft the soft wares such as XP, 2000, SERVER 2003 that fails to attach the patched file developed by Microsoft were at the risk of infection.

When this virus attacks the computer it copies the autorun.inf file and also when you use flash drives in that it will copy. So if the flash drives moves to different computer it will leave a copy of virus and which could affect more computers.

So try to avoid autorun or autoplay at the windows starup.This could save you at least for a while.And If you doubt your computer is infected so please don’t connect any devices through your USB port.

Even your cameras, mobile phones also the victims of this virus.

The main symptoms you can observe when your computer is infected with this virus are,

i)Unable to open your accounts ,your passwords had changed

ii)More number of pop ups.

Remedies

i) Change the piracy software to a licensed software.

ii)Turn on the automatic updates.

iii)Download the page file released in October 2008

iv)Download the Malicious software removal released in January 2009.
